Questions

For Personal Reflection or Group Discussion

  1. What do you think Jesus meant when he said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me” (Matt 16:24 NIV)?

  2. 2 Tim 3:16 NIV says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…”. How important is the study of God’s Word? How does studying God’s Word help us grow?

  3. How important is the work of the Holy Spirit in Christian growth? What aspect of the work of the Holy Spirit would you like to see more of in your life?

  4. What do you think are some benefits of being a member of a small group? What are some things we do in our small groups that spurs us on in our journey of faith?

  5. God may use hard times to develop a deeper faith in Him (Deut 8: 2 – 3). Have you gone through some hard times and how did they affect your Christian faith?

Close by praying for one thing you need the most that will help you to grow.
