On Saturday, 30 August 2025, The Methodist Church in Singapore is having a Creation Care event and Tree Planting Day as part of our anniversary celebrations this year. After the Tree Planting, we will have our MCS 140 Creation Care event titled AfterEden.

About AfterEden

How important is the environment to you? A government poll showed that it’s a top concern for Singaporean youths—so what does God say about climate and sustainability, and how can you, a follower of Christ, make a godly impact?

Date: Saturday, 30 August 2025
Time: 11.30am to 5pm
Venue: Covenant Community Methodist Church, Methodist Girls’ School, 11 Blackmore Drive, Singapore 599986
Cost: $5/pax. Lunch and tea break provided.

Speakers’ Profiles:

Mr Dennis Tan, Our Father’s World
Dennis Tan is the Co-Founder and Executive Director at Our Father’s World. In 2023, he co-authored Creation Care and the Gospel, a primer on faith-based environmental action written for Christians in Southeast Asia. He worships at Sengkang Methodist Church and is currently pursuing theological studies at Trinity Theological College. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with nature, playing board games and going to the theatre.

Ms Merilyn Ng, The Conscious Florist
Merilyn integrates faith, creativity and creation care through her work in corporate sustainability and ministry. She is the founder of The Conscious Florist, an enterprise that creates meaningful floral arrangements in a more sustainable way. As a youth leader and former ministry staff, she inspires others to be good stewards of God’s creation through daily living, as a discipleship and witness mandate—until Christ comes again and makes all things new. Merilyn worships at Bukit Panjang Methodist Church.
