KKMC Children’s Ministry and Family Life Ministry Lay Ministry Staff

We’re looking for a Children’s Ministry and Family Life Ministry Lay Ministry Staff.

Purpose of the role:

To nurture children’s faith, strengthening families, and fostering intergenerational discipleship through Christ-centred teaching, fellowship, and partnership with parents and ministry teams.

Responsibilities include:

1. Children’s Ministry

  • To be a resource person and recommend, acquire and/or provide/develop resources/curriculum for this ministry.
  • To train and develop leaders, teachers and helpers, both new and current, for this ministry.
  • To provide pastoral care and counselling to the leaders and children when necessary.
  • To work with the parents and caregivers.
  • To work with the Pastoral Overseer and Church Leaders of this ministry for the godly and effective running and growth of this ministry.


2. Family Life Ministry

  • To organize and/or conduct talks, courses and workshops on issues related to Marriage, Parenting and Family Life (e.g. singlehood, care for Elderly parents, etc.)
  • To assist in the organization/conduct of the Marriage Preparation Class and the Marriage Enrichment Class.
  • To be a resource person and recommend, acquire and/or provide/develop resources/curriculum for this ministry.
  • To train and develop leaders, both new and current, for this ministry.
  • To work with the Pastoral Overseer and Church Leaders of this ministry for the godly and effective running and growth of this ministry.

Requirements:

Spiritual & Personal Qualifications:

  • A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Strong sense of calling to serve and minister to children and parents.
  • Alignment with the church’s statement of faith and values.
  • Integrity, humility, and emotional maturity.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children and families.
  • Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to connect with children and families across different backgrounds.
  • Formal theological education.

Administrative & Organisational Skills:

  • Able to plan, manage, and execute events effectively.
