Bridging the Generational Gap

Bridging the Generational Gap

Posted on 29 Mar 2024

Date: Saturday, 27 April 2024
Time: 9am to 12.30pm
Venue: KKMC Sanctuary, L1

About this talk:
With its rich history, we are indeed blessed that KKMC is a multi-generational church raised by God for His Kingdom work. However, with a congregation spanning 4 generations worshipping and serving together, it is timely to explore how we can, as a community, bridge the generational differences which are all the more evident in our complex world, so that we can continue to minister effectively for the Lord.

We have invited Rev Dr Tan Soo-Inn and Mr Ho Wei-Hao who have authored “The Generations Project” to help us understand how the different generations view faith, solve problems and perceive other generations. Through this, we can build unity through empathy and encourage greater collaboration among the different groups. If we can help generations bring their strengths to the table, we can work together as a true intergenerational community, to live out God’s purposes.

About Rev Dr Tan Soo-Inn: Soo-Inn is a director of Graceworks, a training and publishing consultancy committed to promoting spiritual friendship in church and society. He runs this ministry in partnership with his wife, Bernice. Bernice and Soo-Inn have four sons.

He has worked as a dentist, has pastored two churches and served in a number of parachurch organizations. He is an adjunct lecturer in various seminaries and also serves as the chaplain of the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship, Singapore.

Soo-Inn has a BDS from the University of Singapore, a ThM in New Testament from Regent College, Vancouver, and a DMin from Fuller Seminary. His primary passions include connecting the Word of God to the struggles of daily life, and the promotion of the discipline of spiritual friendship.
