Questions
For Personal Reflection or Group Discussion
- Read Matthew 13:16. Recall a biblical truth that you initially struggled to understand, and what helped you “rise to the challenge” to grasp it and live it out?
- The sermon notes that only those who fruitfully received the message of the Kingdom (v19) can fruitfully communicate it. How can our small group tell when God’s Word has truly been received in our hearts rather than just being head knowledge, and how does that change the way we share our faith with others?
- Cultivating good soil requires deliberate, hard effort, and we constantly need God’s Word to stay fruitful. Looking at the different types of soil in Jesus’ parable (the path, rocky ground, thorns, and good soil), what “weeds” need removing or hard ground need plowing in your life so that God’s Word can take deeper root?
