About our speaker: 

Professor Hong Hai has been a registered TCM practitioner since 2003. He previously served as a member of the TCM Practitioners Board. Trained earlier in engineering, economics and management, he developed a midlife interest in Chinese medicine while serving as CEO of Haw Par Corporation. After qualifying to practise medicine, he underwent graduate studies in Beijing and London. His doctoral work focused on relating TCM principles to modern biomedical science. Currently he is Emeritus Professor at Nanyang Technological University.  He is author or co-author of several books on TCM including:

  • Principles of Chinese Medicine: A Modern Interpretation
  • Cancer Management with Chinese Medicine
  • Chinese Medicine for Health

Prof Hong Hai’s principal clinical areas are health cultivation, preventative medicine and age-related chronic illnesses. He practises part- time at the Renhai Clinic (www.renhai.com.sg)
