Hi KKMC members and friends,

Season of Lent

I wish you God’s grace and peace as we continue in the Season of Lent. This is a season that where we prayerfully examine our walk with God and to prepare us for Holy Week where we remember the loving sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the cross, in response to the sinfulness of people.

This culminates on Easter Sunday where we rejoice in the triumph of Jesus over sin, death and the devil, ensuring new life and life eternal to all who will place their trust in Him.

And to help us keep growing in our discipleship, KKMC will be hold the following:

(1) Holy Week Meetings 2021 via ZOOM from 29 to 31 March (8pm to 9pm)

Topic: “BEING IN THE WORLD: Reflections on Holy Week in the light of Covid-19”

Speaker: Lawrence Ko (National Director of Singapore Centre for Global Missions)

Life in the world is full of changes and challenges (especially with the Covid-19 pandemic), with its ups and downs, pain and disappointments as well as joy and hope. Our Lord Jesus Christ embraced history and humanity by being incarnate and becoming human. He also showed us the way to transcend history with its tragedy and trials through faith. Pointing to the future eschatological hope, He showed us the way to actively participate in history and be God’s change agents in the present.

29 March Being in Time: Transitions Ecclesiastes 3: 1-14

30 March Being in Prayer: Transcendence Matthew 5: 3-10

31 March Being in Hope: Transformation 1 Peter 2: 9-12

Register for these Meetings by Mon, 21 March on the Holy Week page.

(2) Holy Week Worship Services in Holy Week on-site at KKMC

Maundy Thursday (Holy Communion) Service (1 April at 8pm – Preacher: Rev Anthony Phua)

Good Friday Service (2 April at 8am & 10am – Preacher: Rev Dr Chiang Ming Shun) and

Easter Sunday Service (4 April at 8am & 10am – Preacher: Rev Tay Kay Leong. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will also be conducted being the first Sunday of the month.)

To attend these Services in person, please book a slot on our church webpage in the same way we do to attend our Devotional Worship Services (DWSes) on Sundays.

Should all slots have been taken up, please do not be disappointed as we will also be live-streaming these Services. We can join in online at our YouTube Channel at the relevant timings on 1, 2 and 4 April.

Unfortunately, due to the on-going uncertainty and limitations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, please note that we will not be able to conduct the Easter Sunrise Service on 4 April at the church car park this year. The Lord willing, we will be able to do so in 2022.

Participating Online in the Sacrament of Holy Communion during the Maundy Thursday (Holy Communion) Service on 1 April at 8pm

For KKMC members and friends who wish to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion online during this Service, go to the Holy Week page and register for self-collection. You will need to indicate the number of consecrated pre-packed elements which you and/or family members need. Collection from church will be on Sundays, 21 & 28 March after our DWSes. Deadline for registration is Monday, 15 March.

Continue to be committed to Watch and Pray

May all of us commit to the Lord to faithfully watch and pray as we continue to do our best to conduct safe and meaningful Worship Services at KKMC to the Glory of God and the edification of our congregation members!

We also really look forward to meeting more and more KKMC members and friends back at church.

“How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” (Psalm 84:1&2)

God Bless and take care.
