Stay updated with Pastor Kenneth’s latest pastoral letter to the congregation
Dear KKMC Members and Friends
I trust you are all keeping well in the Lord as well as health-wise.
Welcome Rev Anthony Phua
As we move into the month of August, we want to warmly welcome Rev Anthony Phua to KKMC as one of the Pastors. To know more about him, catch the recording of the Worship Service on Sunday.
We pray God’s wisdom to be upon as Ps Anthony as he settles into the life and ministry of KKMC. When we have the opportunity, do help make Ps Anthony feel at home here with us at KKMC.
Pledge Letter for next Financial Year of August 2020 till July 2021
We would have received the Pledge Letter for the new Church Financial Year. Do pray and once we have prayerfully determined our pledge, do send our completed Pledge Card back to the church office or complete the online form found at here by the end of August 2020.
Devotional Service of Prayer (DSOP): 10am and the Sacrament of Holy Communion
We will be holding a DSOP at 10am for the English Congregation from next Sunday, 9 August, onwards, in addition to the one at 8am. We continue with the DSOPs at 2pm for the Mandarin Congregation and 5.30pm for the Tamil Congregation, all having a maximum of 50 persons at each Service.
Also, for this month, at all the DSOPs (8am, 10am, 2pm and 5.30pm) on 9, 16 & 23 Aug, we will start to conduct the Sacrament of Holy Communion for those of us who would like to participate in it.
For the purpose of safety, we will be using pre-packed elements of the wafer and the juice for Holy Communion, which we collect from Communion trays placed at the back of the Sanctuary as we enter the Sanctuary. The elements are to only be consumed at the pews when directed by the Pastor administering the Sacrament.
The above arrangements have been worked out within MCCY’s requirements of churches to help ensure Safe Management practices are observed.
So, do first book a slot online at the church website for the relevant Sunday we wish to attend for the English Congregation and with the respective Ministry Leaders for our Mandarin and Tamil Congregations. And as a practice, we try to book only once a month, as far as possible, to enable others to attend. This is our way of showing consideration for fellow congregation members. We look forward to meeting those of us who are coming.
Finally, on Sunday, 30 Aug, we will hold a normal DSOP as we have conducted so far. After August, we will conduct the Sacrament of Holy Communion only on the first two Sundays of each month with the remaining Sundays being normal DSOPs.
Church Prayer Time
Finally, as it is so very important that we pray together as a church, I would like to encourage as many of us as possible to join the next Church Prayer Time for the English Congregation on Wed, 5 Aug, at 8pm online via ZOOM. Contact Lyndon Gan for log-in details. As always, God Bless and stay safe!
